Global Disruption Feed: Optimizing Logistics in 2025

Fluent Cargo has launched its Global Disruption Feed to address escalating tariff volatility and record-high US seaborne container imports. The service provides real-time intelligence on disruptions affecting global shipping routes, integrated into Fluent Cargo’s platform, which offers routing, schedules, tracking, pricing, and emissions data. This feature enables shippers and freight forwarders to make informed routing decisions amid uncertainty.

CEO Archival Garcia highlighted the need for real-time disruption intelligence due to potential new tariffs and renewed US-China trade tensions, noting that traditional monthly planning cycles are inadequate for today’s volatility from trade policy shifts, severe weather, or infrastructure failures. The launch is timely as supply chain uncertainty rises.

Recent disruptions include Sydney’s ports suspended since July 1, 2025, due to a “bomb cyclone” with winds up to 125 km/hr, and rail closures since July 4, 2025, disrupting Hamburg’s container facilities. Garcia emphasized that companies adapting routes quickly gain a competitive edge. The Global Disruption Feed offers severity ratings and location details, shifting logistics from reactive to proactive management. It’s now available to all Fluent Cargo users worldwide.

Additionally, Fluent Cargo’s April 2025 partnership with market intelligence firm Xeneta, as its first partner in Australia and New Zealand, enhances freight routing and pricing decisions with broader market data access.
