Examples of Rogue Wave

Another interesting area of research centers around rogue waves in the area of the Bermuda Triangle. But scientists have dismissed such tales as mere legends, much like sea serpents – exciting stories, but totally fiction.

From “The Bermuda Triangle Mystery and the Centuries of Lost Ships”.

This means that in severe conditions the boat could be flipped upside down from carrying too much sail, by catching a leeward hull, or by a rogue wave.

From “Basic Hull, Keel, and Rudder Shapes”.
