What is FSRU?

FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) is the deployment of purpose built or converted ships to enable storage and regasification of LNG to be done offshore.

For example, the LNG Floating Regasification and Storage Unit (FSRU) Golar Tundra arrived in Tema port in Ghana in July 2016 to supply gas to the Ghana National Petroleum Company.
