What is MARPOL?
MARPOL, or the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, is an international treaty designed to minimize pollution from ships at sea. It establishes regulations concerning oil spills, waste discharge, and the transfer of hazardous materials to protect the marine environment.
