What is Inclination?
The angle between the plane of the orbit of a satellite and the earth’s equatorial plane. An orbit of a perfectly-geostationary satellite has an inclination of 0.
Examples of Inclination
There is a gradual increase in the inclination of the orbit. If left alone, a satellite that has initial zero inclination will have its inclination increase at the rate of 0,8° per year; a GSO spacecraft moves through space at 6 878 mph.
