iO3 and Seadronix Partner to Enhance Maritime Navigation with AI

Maritime digital technologies provider iO3 has partnered with deep-tech company Seadronix to enhance navigational safety through advanced onboard systems. The collaboration integrates Seadronix’s Rec-SEA AI core module into iO3’s V.Sight platform, launching the V.Sight AI-Assisted Navigation feature.

This enhancement bolsters the V.Sight platform with real-time visual recognition, risk detection, and intelligent decision support powered by Seadronix’s AI technology. Combining iO3’s expertise in shipboard integration with Seadronix’s AI perception capabilities, the partnership delivers innovative solutions tailored to modern maritime operations.

The upgraded system improves hazard detection, situational awareness, and operational efficiency at sea. iO3 CEO Kenny Koh stated that the AI integration equips ship owners, captains, and crews with a powerful tool for safer navigation, providing real-time actionable insights for complex marine environments.

Designed for challenging navigation scenarios, such as busy port approaches and variable sea conditions, the enhanced V.Sight platform enables crews to navigate with greater precision and safety. Pilot deployments of V.Sight AI-Assisted Navigation will begin on select vessels in the coming months, with a broader rollout planned thereafter.

The companies are also exploring future enhancements, including advanced object classification, traffic pattern analysis, and predictive routing to further improve maritime situational intelligence. Seadronix COO Kyongsoo Noh emphasized that the partnership brings their AI technology to the maritime sector in a practical and impactful way, contributing to a safer and smarter global fleet.

In March 2025, Seadronix raised approximately 15 billion won ($11,3 million) in Series B funding to advance its AI ship solutions and robotics technologies while expanding its global presence, including new contracts in Singapore and the Netherlands.
