Comrade Kim Jong Un also inspected the construction of the nuclear submarine equipped with strategic guided missiles, which is being expedited in accordance with the resolution of the VIII Party Congress,” the agency reported.

No details about the first nuclear submarine of North Korea were provided.
South Korean submarine expert Moon Kyung-sik, who teaches at Hanyang University in Seoul, stated that the submarine likely belongs to the 6 000 or 7 000-ton class and can carry about 10 missiles. The use of the term “strategic guided missiles” indicates that the submarine will be capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
