What is COSWP?
COSWP stands for the “Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seafarers.” It is a comprehensive guide issued by the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency that provides safety guidelines and best practices for those working on merchant ships. The code covers a wide range of topics, including risk assessment, emergency procedures, and personal safety measures to help minimize workplace hazards at sea.
