Russian Missile Strikes Merchant Vessel at YUZHNY Port, Raising Maritime Safety Concerns
On October 6, a merchant vessel moored at YUZHNY Port in the Odessa region was struck by a Russian ballistic missile. Russian state media has released infrared footage captured by a UAV showing the incident.
The vessel, reportedly hit by an Iskander-M type short-range ballistic missile, has not been identified publicly. However, the Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the ship was transporting military aid from European countries to Ukraine.
